If you are reading this, thank you for your willingness to seek mental health services. Recognizing that you could use someone to walk alongside you while moving through your darkest times takes true courage. My therapeutic approach involves creating a safe space for one to be heard, seen, and validated. I believe it is in the sharing and understanding of our stories right up until the moment you walk through my door that transformational healing of the self can begin. So many of us spend our lives hiding away or simply coping with the stressors which come our way. There is often no room left to discover our authentic selves, much less live in a way which reflects who we are at our core. No matter your background, beliefs, or previous experience with therapy, I gladly welcome you. Above all else, I will meet you where you are without judgment, mind and heart open. As a client-centered therapist, I will work with you on your desired treatment goals, keeping in mind that life may throw curveballs and require adjustments to our previous plans.
My holistic strengths-based approach to therapy helps you empower yourself, shed illusions of powerlessness, and overcome trauma while developing the tools to make mindful decisions in the future. I have a background in psychodynamic therapy but also utilize modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I specialize in grief/loss, aiding clients in the non-linear path grief often takes. I also enjoy working with couples. I would be honored to assist you with creating stronger, healthier, fulfilling relationships with yourselves and each other.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to read this profile. I am here whenever you are ready to begin the process. I look forward to meeting you!

Having someone to walk alongside you as you navigate uncertainty can be a life changing experience. Welcome to therapy! I am excited to get to know you and your story. I enter therapy bringing curiosity, compassion and interest in your narrative. Together we will explore how we can create a path that feels just right for you.
I approach therapy looking at the whole person. I use an attachment-informed lens grounded in social justice. In addressing your whole self, I incorporate somatic, art, drama and play therapy where I can and when it feels good to you. This may include listening to your physical body, interpreting its messages and learning tools for self-regulation and sensory management. It may look like creating art to process an experience. Together we will find what works best for you. When working with children and adolescents, I may incorporate play therapy tools to explore their situation and to help process trauma or hardship.
I also believe that all of us, from children to adults, have younger parts of ourselves still at play in our story and I may incorporate inner child work to help us to listen to those parts. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the complexity of living with marginalized identities and the difficulty of negotiating this in daily life. Through our sessions, and with a client-centered approach that incorporates psychodynamic, narrative and motivational interviewing tools, together, we will work to overcome obstacles on your journey.

Welcome, all. I have the utmost respect for all those who embark on the journey of seeking support and change. I deeply value every person’s inherent resilience, dignity, worth, creativity, and potential. I aim to co-create an affirming, safe environment in which my clients feel accepted and comfortable exploring their inner worlds-- past, present, and future. I bring warmth, curiosity, and empathic attunement to the therapeutic relationship. I believe it is equally important that the therapeutic space celebrates strengths and joys as well as provides support during challenging times.
My approach is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of each client sitting before me. I view my clinical work with a multi-systemic lens that considers how a person’s strengths and challenges are influenced by the surrounding world. I draw on evidence-based practices and theories including Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. I work within a relationship-based, trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally sensitive framework that honors each individual person and their journey. I believe it is a profound honor to accompany my clients on this exploration.
“In my early professional years, I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for their own personal growth?”

My job is to create a space for you to engage in healing, learning, and growth - to help you sort through all of the feelings and thoughts that can come from navigating the world we live in. As we begin working together, we’ll build a good working relationship, as well as set goals to help you figure out what you’d like to move towards in therapy.
When working together, I’ll ensure that there’s a balance between building skills for mindfully navigating your present environment and exploring your past to heal from emotional wounds. To accomplish this, I’ll draw from a variety of humanistic, trauma-informed, and healing-centered perspectives. Some of my approaches include models of grief work, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). The glue that holds all of this together is the understanding that 1) you have inherent strengths, dignity, and worth; 2) that systems of oppression and our environments can make it challenging to thrive; and 3) you are the expert in your lived experience.

Therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental space with a focus toward growth. To me,
therapy is a partnership where I aim to help clients feel heard and validated in a mindful,
compassionate setting.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including person-centered and cognitive-
behavioral techniques, that help clients gain the confidence to make positive and healthy
changes in their lives. While working together in therapy, I can support clients in practicing
communication and assertiveness skills in order to build effective self-advocacy.
I strongly believe in the resilience of human beings, even in the most stressful of life
circumstances. Holistic, trauma-informed therapy can help clients strive toward healing,
insight, and empowerment. I would be honored to embark on this journey with you.
